A little bit about Deana... A native New Yorker, this girl has been singing since the age of 5. Growing up in Northport, New York, she had her first local gig at 15 singing the likes of Pat Benatar, Led Zeppelin and Ronnie James Dio. By the time she hit her senior year in High School she was fronting wedding bands and traveling up and down the US east coast singing Barbara Streisand, Bette Midler and Chaka Kahn. Her versatility caught the ear of SoundsRight Productions, one of New York’s top jingle houses. She sang for great companies such as Honda, General Mills and Kraft. She started gaining a lot of momentum in the early 1990’s going back to her roots of hard rock. She fronted several projects including Cyrus and Atrium and auditioned for “Tommy” when it hit Broadway for the first time. In 2001, Deana joined “Flight 19” which got the attention of some European Independent Labels for its 80’s metal sound. After that she did back up vocals on Terry Brock’s “Back to Eden” (2003) and Twisted Sister’s “Still Hungry” (2004) and DVD. Since 2002 she has been performing with New York’s Heart Tribute band called “Bad Animals”. In June 2010 she recorded a duet with one of the greatest voices in rock, Geoff Tate of Queensrӱche called “Fall From Grace” for Tate's first movie debut in "Burningmoore Incident". Currently, she is busy in the studio recording a CD for a new project called "Thunderbox" for the summer of 2012 release. You can check them out at Thunderboxxx.com.
Deana has such powerful vocals that not only has New York claimed her as one of the best rockin’ female vocalist around, but is also known through her international performances. Stay Tuned... |
